10 Jan 2010 Information about ski and yachting seasons

A ski season will generally last from early December through to mid April. There are hundreds of companies out there who provide hosted chalets to guests. At Tante Marie we pride ourselves with our links to these companies and we aim to match individual students to the resort of their choice, with a company that is appropriate. A Tante Marie course will make you more employable than any other course available.

The ski season ends just in time for the start of the yachting season in the Mediterranean and many seasonaires will move directly from the slopes to the blue waters of the Med!

There are hundreds of exciting opportunities out there and this line of work can often be highly lucrative! The yachting season runs from May until mid September.

If you are interested in coming to Tante Marie to do one of our Gap Year courses, such as the 4 week Essential Skills course, or the 11 week Cordon Bleu Certificate course, you will be ideally placed to then go on and do a ski season, however please note that many of the ski companies start their recruitment drive as early as May, for the following season. With this in mind, it is sensible to apply for a job then, but advise the ski company that you will be completing a course with us prior to the start of the season.

Do give us a call and ask for any advice if you have any questions!
