Tante Marie's international reputation means students come to us  from all over the world, as well as from the UK, to learn the many culinary skills necessary to enable them to cook professionally. When the School was founded in 1954 it opened its doors to 20 students. Now we welcome over 500 students each year, and there has never been a wider choice of Tante Marie courses to choose from, or a better time to train for a culinary career.

As well as offering our Diploma courses for those seeking an internationally recognised professional qualification, in response to the ever increasing demand for culinary knowledge and skills Tante Marie has also developed a number of shorter courses for the beginner and enthusiastic amateur. These shorter courses are suitable for both 'Gap Year' students and the more mature, to enable them to cook for themselves and obtain short term employment in the travel and hospitality industries.

Tante Marie offers a unique blend of hard work and friendliness which both staff and students value highly. Our extensive facilities enable us to offer a high practical cookery content in all courses, with more than 70% of time being spent in practical classes.  Teaching groups are kept small with a staff to student ratio of no more than 1 to 12.

We aim to provide the very highest standards of training for our students with a keen sense of the skills and knowledge required of the chefs of the future. Tante Marie graduates are highly regarded and constantly in demand by top employers worldwide.
