Terms and Conditions of Enrolment

Lifestyle Courses:

  1. 1. The course fee is payable in full at the time of enrolment.
  2. 2. Cancellations must be received by Tante Marie in writing. Cancellations received less than 14 days prior to commencement of the course will incur costs of 50% of course fee. Cancellations received less than seven days prior to commencement of course will incur costs of 75% of course fee. Cancellations received less than two working days prior to the commencement of the course will receive no refund unless Tante Marie is able to re-sell the place.
  3. 3. Tante Marie reserves the right to change or cancel courses whereby a suitable alternative will be offered or money refunded. In the Principal’s absolute discretion cancellation charges or a proportion thereof may be applied towards another course.
  4. 4. We occasionally have photographers visiting the school to take shots of food and students. These photograph(s) will be used solely to promote the Tante Marie Culinary Academy and may appear in any of our promotional material in printed or electronic form including web sites, in multimedia productions, course leaflets or prospectuses. Please note that websites can be seen worldwide and not just in the UK where UK law applies. The Data Protection Act 1998: To comply with the Act, we need your permission before we take any photographs of you or your children who may be enrolled on courses. We will normally store photographs securely in our image library for no longer than 5 years and your consent will expire after this period. However your photograph(s) may be selected for inclusion in our historical archive and be retained indefinitely. Consent: By enrolling on a course at Tante Marie you give us your consent to use photographs of you or your child(ren) in accordance with the purposes and conditions outlined above and the terms of the Data Protection Act 1998.

  • Intensive Cordon Bleu Diploma
  • Cordon Bleu Certificate
  • 4 Week Essential Skills Courses
    1. 1. The deposit is non-refundable. It may, however, at the absolute discretion of Tante Marie, be transferred to another Tante Marie course provided such a course commences within 12 months of the transfer.
    1. 2. Subject to paragraph 3 below students become liable for the full course fee upon enrolment.

Cordon Bleu Diploma, Intensive Cordon Bleu Diploma:Students ordinarily resident in the United Kingdom will be invoiced by Tante Marie in equal termly instalments payable no later than four weeks in advance of the date of commencement of the relevant term or payable immediately if the relevant term commences within four weeks of the enrolment. Overseas students are required to make payment of the entire course fee no later than four weeks before the date of commencement of the course or immediately upon enrolment within four weeks of the course commencing.

Cordon Bleu Certificate and 4 Week Essential Skills Course:Students ordinarily resident in the United Kingdom will be invoiced by Tante Marie payable in full no later than four weeks in advance of the date of commencement of the course.

In the event of fees for any course not being received as required above, Tante Marie, reserves the right to withdraw the place offered and exclude the student from any course in respect of which fees have not been received.

3. Cancellation of any course must be notified in writing.

Cordon Bleu Diploma, Intensive Cordon Bleu Diploma and Cordon Bleu Certificate Courses:

Cancellations must be received by Tante Marie not later than six weeks before the commencement of the relevant course. No refund of course fees or deposit will be made in respect of cancellation within four weeks of the commencement of a course.

Four Week Essential Skills Course:

Cancellations must be received by Tante Marie not later than six weeks before the commencement of the relevant course. No refund of course fees or deposit will be made in respect of cancellation within three weeks of the commencement of a course.

Any fees which may have been paid in advance will be refunded to the person who made payment – excluding the deposit. If a student withdraws from a course for any reason whatsoever, or is dismissed or suspended (see paragraph 6 below), after it has commenced the student will remain liable for the full fee for the course and will at that time be invoiced by Tante Marie for any balance of the course fee, such balance being payable within 28 days of the date of the invoice. (Students are strongly recommended to take out insurance covering withdrawal or absence from courses, details of which are available from Tante Marie.)

4. Tante Marie may increase fees at any time. If an enrolment has been made, a written notice of increase will be sent; and the prospective student will be entitled to withdraw from the course and have any deposit or advance payment refunded, provided a written notice is received by Tante Marie no later than 28 days from date of notification of the increase.

5. Students are required to comply with all regulations issued by Tante Marie from time to time.

6. Tante Marie reserves the right to dismiss or suspend any student deemed for any reason by the Principal of Tante Marie to be unsuitable.

7. Students are expected to be punctual and attend all classes regularly. Failure to do so, without suitable reasons, may render the student ineligible for examination or certification.

8. Tante Marie does not accept responsibility for accidents, loss or damage to property whether as a result of negligence or otherwise on the part of Tante Marie, its agents, employees or students.
