Tante Marie is a non-residential school; those students who require accommodation are given a great deal of practical help. The School keeps a list of families who are accustomed to providing a home for Tante Marie students. The list is available on receipt of the enrolment form from which the students can make their personal choice. The School takes no part in financial arrangements with the host families but keeps in close touch. Rented self-catering accommodation is available and the School can provide a list of letting agents.

As part of their education all students are requested to take lunch at the School every day, with the exception of any half-days on the three term Diploma course, and this is included in the fee structure. Students may if they wish take home much of the food created in the afternoon sessions.

English Language Classes

As an optional extra Tante Marie can offer evening language classes to overseas students. Lessons are taught at Tante Marie by a qualified Trinity TEFL tutor. Courses can be tailor-made to individuals or small groups with the emphasis on the spoken word and cultural integration. All lessons are run concurrently with Tante Marie courses.

For those who wish to attend a language school, Tante Marie has excellent links with a number of local respected establishments.

For those overseas students wishing to gain work experience after graduating with our Diploma, Tante Marie can usually offer placements at some of the UK's most prestigious hotels and restaurants, subject to visa requirements.
