The day starts with coffee and a light breakfast while watching a cooking demonstration, followed by a day of fun in the kitchens - cooking lunch which will be enjoyed with a glass of wine and then taking home a selection of goodies to wow your family and friends.
In Part 1 we cover the basics - an introduction to great knife skills, cooking the perfect steak, making simple soda bread and crab cakes with sweet chilli jam. This course is a great introduction to the kitchen and is perfectly suited to those with little or no previous experience.
Dishes covered may include the likes of:
- Fried sirloin steak with brandy and crème fraîche sauce
- Pea and mint soup with crisp Parma ham
- Spicy crab cakes
- Sweet chilli jam
- Warm bitter chocolate tart with raspberry compote
- White soda bread
