Tante Marie Chalet Cook’s Academy

Chalet host

School is coming to an end and summer holidays are just around the corner – so it will not be long until young school and college leavers are considering what to do with their time before embarking on their next step on the educational ladder or working world – so how about a ski season?

Considering a Ski Season or working gap year?

A-levels are pretty hard going and the thought of moving straight on to university can be pretty daunting, so using the summer to its full advantage or taking some time out for a gap year, are very appealing options! But this does not have to mean halting the learning experience entirely.

The Tante Marie Chalet Cook’s Academy is the perfect starting point for school leavers or those embarking on a year out and looking to work a ski season. This bespoke course is brand new to Tante Marie and we are very excited to introduce it to young people and assure parents of its credentials in the ski chalet industry.

This short, 4 week course takes students through a range of essential, culinary skills across several areas of cookery and introduces them to the practical knowledge required by ski chalet hosts. We have worked hard – and in direct consultation with a number of the U.K’s leading ski chalet companies – to develop this course and it’s complimenting, bespoke ‘Guide to Chalet Hosting’ to ensure that our students leave us with the level of skill required to find immediate work as a ski chalet host.

Supported by leading ski chalet companies

We have a long standing relationship with a number of successful ski chalet companies, who often help to place our students upon completion of their course.
