Ski chalet cookery courses at Tante Marie

At Tante Marie Culinary Academy we run ski chalet cookery courses exclusively for high quality and boutique chalet companies such as Project Ski. Graduates of our Chalet Cooks Academy course are popular with a number of high end chalet companies and at the top end, our Cordon Bleu Diploma graduates are in high demand to work at the elite end of the ski chalet industry. Such is the demand for graduates of Tante Marie ski chalet training that we only work with a small number of seriously good companies, and are proud of the relationships we have formed with them over many years.

Project Ski are an independent ski chalets specialist, based in Val d’Isere

Project Ski is a small, independent company founded on a love of the Alps and snow. They are full of passion and fresh ideas and look for staff who share their values. They take great pride in their team and employ people who will work well together, fit with their company ethos and most importantly, love the work they do.

If you would like to join Project Ski for next winter please email a copy of your CV and menu plan (if applying for a cooking role) to jobs@projectski.co.uk

Due to the nature of the services they provide, Project Ski look for flexible chefs with experience and recognised talent. You must be confident working in open kitchens as the ability to interact with guests and give them a holiday to remember is as important to as faultless food!

There will be a real variety in your job! One week it could be a standard three course chalet meal and the next a five course gourmet dining experience! With no set menus, you have free reign in creating your own dishes (within budget) tailored to your guests dietary requirements.

YOUR MAIN DUTIES WILL INCLUDE:

  • Tailoring menu plans to meet guest requirements and budget,
  • Preparation and service of breakfast, afternoon tea and evening meals
  • Ordering and shopping for all produce
  • Maintaining hygiene and ensuring good standards of health and safety in the kitchen and food storage areas at all times.
  • Completing paperwork and budget forms as required

And….

As part of a small team, there will be times (particularly when our guests have chosen to rent the chalets on a self-catered basis) when you need to muck in with other aspects of running a chalet i.e. house keeping, driving, maintenance etc.

You can read more about them on their website by clicking here.
