Ski chalet cookery courses at Tante Marie

At Tante Marie Culinary Academy we run ski chalet cookery courses exclusively for high quality and boutique chalet companies. Graduates of our Chalet Cooks Academy course are popular with a number of high end chalet companies and at the top end, our Cordon Bleu Diploma graduates are in high demand to work at the elite end of the ski chalet industry. Such is the demand for graduates of Tante Marie ski chalet training that we only work with a small number of seriously good companies, and are proud of the relationships we have formed with them over many years.

Skiweekends is the UK’s leading short break specialist

Skiweekends is a small, privately owned company based in Southampton, with a team of 15 in the UK office. They are a close-knit team in the U.K. and in resort, and recognise that their staff are the key to their continued success, believing happy staff lead to happy guests! They go to great lengths to employ a dedicated, enthusiastic and professional team who love working together, share the same desire to do a great job and who they can support to succeed to the best of their ability.

Skiweekends chalet customers normally stay either for a long weekend Thursday – Monday, or a short midweek Monday – Thursday. They are provided breakfast, afternoon tea and a three-course evening meal 5 day a week (chalet hosts now have 2 days off a week on a Wednesday and a Saturday). Chalet hosts are responsible for all aspects of running their chalet –  food and housekeeping and looking after guests on a day to day basis. Skiweekend guests tend to be pretty low maintenance, they are mostly keen skiers who are time limited, and the aim is to make it easy for them to get some time skiing for a few days at a time. Guests are typically looking for a simple and easy experience, comfortable accommodation and good food – chalets are solid 3-star standards. This winter they have chalets in Courchevel, Meribel, Les Menuires, Morzine, Avoriaz, Les Gets and Flaine.
