Beer Bread

454g (1lb) Stoneground wholemeal flour
1tbsp baking powder
½tsp salt

 1tsp clear honey
350ml (12fl.oz) full flavoured beer

Pre-heat the oven to gas mark 4, 180ºC. Oil a loaf tin.

Mix the flour, baking powder and salt together in a large mixing bowl. Stir in the honey and beer to make a heavy wet dough.

Spoon the mixture into the prepared tin and smooth the surface. Bake for 40-50 minutes or until a skewer inserted in the centre comes out clean. Turn out and cool completely on a wire rack.
