Our 1 and 2 day courses are the perfect gift for those looking for new tips from the professionals!
Learn knife skills, chopping skills, recipe ideas, kitchen tips and most of all, have fun!

Courses are practically focussed with students actively cooking under the guidance of our experienced team of professional teachers. Build up a portfolio over time by completing the full range of modules.

Each day includes lunch with wine and begins at 9.15 am for a 9.30 am start and finishes at approximately 4.00pm. We can also arrange modules for groups of friends (minimum 6).

2 day Sauces Workshop: 19th & 20th March 2013


£295 for both days including lunch with wine

The ability to make and finish beautiful sauces can take your food to the next level. On this 2 day course we will teach you a wide range of recipes, all of which incorporate sauces ranging from the most basic to the advanced. Learn about ‘mother sauces’ such as mayonnaise, and their derivatives such as aioli. Learn how to make beautiful stocks which form the base of so many amazing sauces and learn how to transform your presentation skills by saucing plates beautifully.

1 day Macarons Workshop: 22nd March 2013


£130 for the day including lunch with wine

There is no doubt that macarons are the morsel of the moment! Go to any Parisian patisserie and you will see thousands of these delicious treats arranged into an array of glorious technicolour. On this course we will show you how to make a wide variety of different macarons of various flavours and striking colours. At the end of the day you will have a box of beautiful delights to take home and wow your friends and family.
Making macarons requires dexterity and skill so we advise that this course is better suited to cooks who already have a good degree of skill.

2 day Pasta Workshop: 11th & 12th April 2013


£295 for both days including lunch with wine

Fresh pasta is a completely different product to the dried variety that is sold in supermarkets today. Making it requires skill and in some cases dexterity, but without fail serving up your own homemade ravioli or tortellini will impress even the most experienced of foodie friends.
During this 2 day pasta workshop you will learn how to make a wide variety of pasta shapes and colours and will incorporate them into some stunning dishes to enjoy over lunch with a glass of wine and take home at the end of the course. Learn how to make wonderful fresh pasta shapes by hand such as beautiful tortellini, how to colour pasta with tomato, spinach or squid ink, and learn how to use a pasta machine to create perfect spaghetti, tagliatelli or even ravioli!

1 day 'Men Only!' course (Part 1) Beginners: 5th July 2013


£155 for the full day including lunch with wine

Our 'Men Only!' course is now in its 7th succesful year and is as popular as ever. Give the man in your life a gift he will never forget - a day of inspirational cooking training with the professionals! All of our 'Men Only!' courses start with coffee and a light breakfast while watching a demonstration, followed by a day of fun in the kitchens - cooking lunch which will be enjoyed with a glass of wine and then taking home a selection of goodies to wow your family!

Part 1 is the basics - an introduction to great knife skills, cooking the perfect steak, making simple soda bread and crab cakes with sweet chilli jam. This course is a great introduction to the kitchen and is perfectly suited to those with little or no previous experience.

1 day 'Men Only!' course (Part 2) Intermediate: 12th July 2013

Our 'Men Only!' course is now in its 7th succesful year and is as popular as ever. Part 2 is an 'intermediate level course' which is designed to follow on perfectly from Part 1. The cooking is a little more complex - basic butchery such as spatchcock quails with Asian salad, filleting sea bass and making chicken ballotines are among the skills covered on this brilliant day!

ALL NEW 1 day 'Men Only!' course (Part 3) Advanced: 19th July 2013

Our 'Men Only!' course is now in its 7th succesful year and is as popular as ever. Part 3 is an 'advanced level course' which is designed to follow on perfectly from Part 2. In 2013 we will be running brand new Advanced course at the same level as 2012 but with new recipes and skills! The 2013 course will include a beautiful rich Rabbit forestier served with squash and feta gratin, including everything you need to know about working with rabbit and a classic choux pastry dessert - 'Paris Brest' with hazelnut and hot caramel sauce, as well as advanced fish preparation skills and much more!

1 day Fish Workshop: 29th August 2013

Our 1 day fish course will include a hands on, interactive lecture by our amazing fishmonger, Ron Fowler.
Ron will show off an impressive array of fish which he sources directly from the boats, explaining the provenance, characteristics and sustainability of a wide variety of fish. In addition to this, he will demonstrate a range of different filleting, skinning and preparation techniques for different types of fish.
You will also have the chance to put what you see into practice, preparing, finishing and cooking a range of fish to take home at the end of the day!

1 day Meat Curing and Preserving Workshop: 30th August 2013

Once again, the inspirational butcher Ian Wood returns to share his wealth of knowledge. This time around, Ian will be showing off a range of curing methods, which will be combined with a range of inspirational preserving skills and techniques which may be applied to a wide range of dishes.

Our 2 day bread workshop is a must for those with an interest in the arts of baking beautiful breads. During this two day course you will learn a wide range of breads from the most simple but delicious soda bread and simple yeast dough to the complex art of creating a starter which you can nurture and maintain, to use in your own sourdough recipes in the future.
