Level 2 Award in Food Safety
A one day course delivered on site at the Academy.
This qualification in food safety in catering will address the importance of food hygiene and safety in the kitchen, for anyone working in a catering environment.

Anyone working in a catering setting where food is prepared, cooked and handled.
Why is this training important?
Everyone who works with food has a special responsibility for safeguarding the health of consumers to ensure the food they serve or sell is safe to eat.
Learning outcomes
On successful completion of the qualification, the learner will understand:
- How individuals can take personal responsibility for food safety
- The importance of keeping him/herself clean and hygienic
