    Our teaching staff have many years of industry experience prior to joining our team but more than this, they are also qualified teachers. If you are considering a professional or gap year course, the focus needs to be on learning. Our experience in delivering our Cordon Bleu Diploma has been honed over many decades.     The Restaurant at Tante Marie
    Gaining hands-on experience in a working kitchen is an important part of learning to cook professionally. The multi-award winning Restaurant at Tante Marie provides our diploma students with an opportunity to support their learning with real-world experience.

    Focus on Practical Training
    We want you to spend as much time in the kitchens as possible. Students at Tante Marie have one theory class per week, covering important subjects like food hygiene, menu design, costing and budgeting... they also have 2 or 3 demonstrations per week in our state-of-the-art theatre. The rest of the time, they are in the kitchens cooking and in some cases, in The Restaurant at Tante Marie gaining hands on experience. 80% of the course is spent in the kitchens.

    Internationally Recognised, Accredited Qualifications
    Graduates of our Cordon Bleu Diploma, also earn the internationally accredited CTH Level 4 Diploma in Professional Culinary Arts, 3 day Wine Certificate and CIEH Level 2 Award in Food Safety in Catering. Those wanting to take their training to the next level and also take up a paid apprenticeship in The Restaurant at Tante Marie and earn the Level 5 Diploma in Culinary and Hospitality Management.
