Cordon Bleu Certificate Course
The 11 week Tante Marie Cordon Bleu Certificate is primarily intended for
those who want to learn to cook well for family and friends. However, many
graduates from this course progress to varied and interesting jobs and careers
in the culinary world.
This course is very popular with students taking a 'Gap Year' before university.
Students who have gained our Certificate are in great demand for the best
gap year jobs with ski chalet and hotel operators, villa and yacht owners
and others.
In addition to practical classes and demonstrations,
students are taught the theory of cookery, including hygiene, menu planning
and costing. The course also includes a one-day wine course taught by a
Master of Wine.
Students' progress is monitored by continuous assessment, and the Certificate
is awarded on passing a practical examination and a theory paper at the
end of the course.
Courses commence three times a year, in September, January and April. The
course is open to all aged 16 and over. No previous cookery knowledge required.
Overseas students must have good basic spoken and written English (TEFL
450).
