5 Day Food Camp: Week 2

Week 2 of Food Camp can be taken as a continuation of week 1 for those who wish to complete the full 10 day course, or independently of week 1 as a stand-alone 5 day course.

Aimed at school-leavers, Food Camp will take students through the basic skills and techniques in cookery that will allow them to produce a range of adaptable, basic dishes that will give young chefs the ability to cook for themselves with confidence.

This course can be combined with Week 1 for the special price of £895.

What you will learn

This course will give you a range of key cooking skills and the confidence and enthusiasm to produce a selection of fresh, home-cooked dishes in your own kitchen.

As with all of our courses, you will be taught in a small group of students at a similar age and level of ability. Your whole time at the Academy will be spent in our state of the art kitchens, building your practical cookery skills and working through your recipe file of starters, mains and desserts.

Where possible we will adjust our recipes to cater to dietary requirements.

Career Prospects

Many young people choose to take this course as preparation for working a ski season. We recommend that both week 1 and week 2 are completed in order to achieve entry level chalet chef.

For those wishing to receive a more advanced qualification we also run a 4 week Food Camp, 4 Week Essential Skills course and 1 term Cordon Bleu Certificate.
